We, the developers of Hunt Buddy BC (the “App”), are committed to protecting your privacy.

Information Collection in the App

The App does not collect any personally identifying information. No login or contact information is required in order to use the App.

The App does obtain the user’s GPS location for the purpose of determining what Wildlife Management Unit you are in. Location data obtained in this way is not stored or transmitted anywhere outside the App. It is not shared with anyone.

On iOS, the optional Mapping Package allows the user to keep a record of location data (tracks and pins). Recorded tracks and pins are not shared with any third party or stored on any server. They remain local to the App on the device, unless the user explicitly exports them using the Share features in the App. In that case, information the user selects is transmitted only to the destination the user specifically chooses. Location data is never transmitted to the App developer or any third party.

Information Collection Outside the App

If the developers receive any personal information via any email, social media post or other such channel, such information is never intentionally disclosed to any third party for any purpose. It is used only to respond to the user inquiry in the most effective manner.

By its nature, this information may be stored on third party email or social media servers. The App developers will take every reasonable precaution to ensure the communication remains as private as possible.

Privacy Policy Changes

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time. Any collection or use of information is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time the information is collected.
